Age? | 9½ years old |
Model? | British Cream (no pedigree) |
Personality? | An easy going and lovely nature, just wants company |
Suitability? | Needs a little ongoing maintenance (ear cleaning, grooming) so is probably not a beginner’s cat. |
Other cats? | Preferably not. |
Indoor cat? | Ideally no – Betty loves to potter in a garden so no major risks within 50m should be fine. |
Children? | They would probably be too much for her if under teenage. |
How about dogs? | Depends on the dog, lollops fine but yappies no. |
Betty first came to us in mid-March because her owner struggled to give her the attention she wanted whilst setting up a new business. She found a new home quickly but, sadly, her new owner developed an extreme allergy to her – no way did he want to return her and he tried every trick in the book to master the allergy but to no avail.
So, Betty, spoilt rotten and doted over by her last owner is once again homeless. Let’s hope this time around she finds her forever home. Her last owner told us:
Betty is a gentle, loving cat with fur like silk. She loves spending time being fussed on my lap! She has a lovely purr and apart from her meow, she has a whole range of wonderful little noises as she talks to me! Although loving attention and company, she is very content to spend time alone in her room sleeping – there is no problem leaving her alone for a time. She will then greet you on return with her voice and a head-rub! She goes outside, weather permitting, but has never roamed very far and quite soon comes back in unless I’m outside with her. She isn’t much of an outdoor cat, being content to sit in the windowsill looking out at her kingdom. She is not a timid cat and will greet visitors warmly. It has been an honour to have her for the summer and she will make a loving companion to her owner. She is a very special cat.
Ready now and looking for a forever home Betty‘ll make a lovely companion – by all accounts she just wants human attention all day long.
As with all our cats, Betty has been vaccinated, wormed, flead, microchipped, and neutered before homing. To help offset these costs we respectfully ask for a minimum donation of £100 towards the cost of veterinary treatment.
