Crouton was handed in the local vets by a member of the public after found straying. With no microchip, we advertised widely for his owner but to no avail. A little bit bewildered on arrival (who wouldn’t be) he’s now settled in to shelter routine and comes out to greet which ever volunteer is calling in to help. A very bonny lad and well socialised, we feel he’ll make a lovely companion.
Healthy during his stay with us, Crouton has used his tray reliably and isn’t fussy about food. On examination, our vets heard a, very slight, heart murmur which disappeared under anaesthetic – this means, more than likely, it is just the result of the stress of unfamiliar surroundings (similar to white coat syndrome in humans.) Having said that, heart murmurs are common in kittens and are nothing to particularly worry about – more information is here if you wish to research.
Matching information – he’ll need a a non-chaotic, family with a quietish home and understanding humans – even in the short time Crouton has been with us, we’ve seen him grow in confidence daily and he loves to play and have a cuddle.
As with all our cats, Crouton has been vaccinated, wormed, flead, microchipped, and neutered before homing. To help offset these costs we respectfully ask for a minimum donation of £125 towards the cost of veterinary treatment.
All Silk Cats come with four weeks of complimentary PetPlan insurance – we recommend you consider arranging your own insurance at the end of the four weeks – there is a guide here: About Insurance
